This is part of the
holding area for cars waiting to get on the Seattle to Bainbridge Island
ferry.
The exit lanes off of the ferry are in the middle of the view. Parking fills from left to right, going north. Carpool lanes are on the left, marked by diamonds, and reserved during commuter hours.
Additional holding for the Seattle to Bainbridge run can be seen by clicking on the Colman Dock South Car Area camera. The right five lanes in that view also hold cars for the Bainbridge trip.
Remember that there are holding lanes underneath the Colman Dock ferry terminal that also serve the Seattle to Bainbridge route.
